We are looking for a strategic loan services and operations professional who will be excited about a highly visible role that touches a variety of work. This position will have a hands-on role with planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all operations of the bank’s loan portfolio. Exposure to commercial, consumer, and mortgage lending is ideal. This role will also focus on identifying synergies and process improvements to drive efficiencies to the customers and shareholders. The successful candidate will be a confident and highly communicative leader who exhibits an exceptional capacity for collaborating with others.




The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for leading the overall loan operations of the Bank's loan portfolio and management of the credit administration, underwriting, portfolio management processing and servicing functions. He/she will utilize regular planning and KPI’s, ensure appropriate management, staffing, staff training, team morale and process efficiencies through process management and utilization of technology. The successful candidate is responsible for driving quality and timely throughput of loans through the entire loan process – application to close -- while maintaining a high degree of quality and customer service excellence. In addition, this role is responsible for implementing, monitoring and providing input on credit policy, procedures and practices which strategically support the Bank's overall business plan and goals, as well as establishing controls to ensure asset quality, risk mitigation and compliance with designated laws and regulations. This role is responsible for promoting a risk culture throughout the organization by defining, measuring, enhancing, managing and mitigating credit risk balanced with production goals. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies and tactics, as well as plans, organize, and implement operational activities to achieve strategic department goals and objectives. This position will interact frequently with external auditors and bank regulators. 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar field of education and/or 7-10 years previous work experience in leading and managing loan operations teams across all loan types.
  • Well developed, professional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, other employees, senior management, Boards of Directors and regulators.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of underwriting and projection skills with the ability to work precisely with financial statements and calculations.
  • Strong knowledge of cash flow, credit and collateral analysis.
  • Track record of outstanding operational achievement based on bank rating and exams.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and lending.
  • Firm comprehension of credit policy and procedures and is able to accurately risk-rate loans/credits, evaluates both cash-flow and collateral-based loans/credits.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit management software program.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a face-paced production environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidential customer information.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
