The State Bank of Cross Plains is hiring an Assistant Retail Services Manager to support both our Black Earth and Mount Horeb offices!  This position will be responsible for growing State Bank of Cross Plain’s market share through acquiring, building, and retaining retail relationships. In addition to Personal Banking responsibilities, this position is responsible for supervising the offices as well as act on needs that arise in the office in the absence of the Retail Services Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Bankers are expected to achieve full banking relationships with customers. Therefore, being very familiar with ALL that SBCP has to offer is paramount to success in addition to maintaining expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services.
  • Develop, promote and maintain positive relationships with clients, the public, and the community in a manner that will promote the overall marketing and sales efforts of the bank.
  • Develop and maintain a quality loan portfolio with the ability to originate, analyze and close retail loans as necessary.
  • Resolve escalated client problems/issues as needed while providing quality, personalized service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Sustain the sales and service culture to ensure company profitability and growth.
  • Open and close office location following security procedures. On call for after-hours alarm calls including nights and weekends.  
  • Prepare monthly reports on results of sales, deposits, loans, etc., for the office.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

    • Associates Degree in a related field and/or 4-5 years equivalent work experience in  a customer services/sales environment
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients.
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions
    • Flexibility with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
    • Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved
    • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner
    • Proven sales ability
    • Proven leadership ability

 

Hours for this position will be primarily 8:30am to 5pm, with availability needed between 7:45am-5:45pm, Monday – Friday with one to two Saturdays a month from 8:45am to 12:15pm. Flexibility in scheduling may be needed on occasion.
