Overview

We are searching for a detailed and people-orientated professional to join our bank family as a Loan Coordinator in our Cross Plains Main office.  This position is to provide a smooth loan process for our customers by ensuring all documentation and contingencies are met prior to Commercial and Ag loan closings.  This position will work with customers and our Commercial/Ag Lending teams throughout the entire loan process to collect all necessary documentation/contingencies, input all relevant information accurately and review appropriately in order for the loan closing to happen on time and to the customer’s expectations.   This role will remain knowledgeable in determining proper documentation and providing excellent customer service to existing and prospective clients in order to support customer retention and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lender’s loan renewals and new loan requests & complete due diligence to prepare for underwriting/approval
  • Process and document renewals, new requests, modifications and deferrals for ag and commercial loan transactions
  • Re-verify that credit request has up to date information to determine proper loan documents required for loan based on loan product and entity documents, including but not limited to proper signers, address, collateral description, insurance
  • Work with Lender for collection of any outstanding loan approval contingencies
  • Ensure codes provided on credit request by underwriters are still accurate and no changes need to be made to the purpose code, part 365 code, aggregate debt, new money, LTV and appraised value
  • Review final appraisal/valuation and make adjustments to documentation in file for correct loan set up
  • Coordinate and schedule closings with Lender and other members of the team as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar field of education and/or minimum 3 years previous work experience in lending, loan processing, loan closing, underwriting, banking or similar work experience
  • Previous experience working with high profile clients and/or direct customer service experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
  • Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple priorities efficiently & accurately
  • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to provide ownership over own work in order to get the job done
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment
