  • Overview

    We are seeking a passionate and driven sales professional to join our Agriculture team as a Crop Insurance Specialist. This position will be responsible for prospecting, promoting and selling crop and livestock insurance.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships and will be expected to cross-sell other bank products that fit the customer's needs.  


    • Prospect quality new customer/client relationships, track and follow-up on prospecting efforts.
    • Communicate with customers regarding insurance transactions and renewals and evaluate their crop insurance needs.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to crop insurance customers, providing information and insight on crop insurance changes and new products
    • Gather and input all customer data/reports to insurance companies
    • Create and maintain customer files
    • Coordinate crop insurance advertising
    • Prepare and mail out crop newsletter
    • Plan annual crop insurance update meeting
    • Cross-sell other bank products and services which fit the customers’ needs.


    • Bachelors degree in Agricultural related field and/or similar field of education and/or 1-3 years previous work experience in crop insurance sales or Ag sales environment
    • State of WI Property Insurance License preferred or the ability to apply and qualify for a WI Property Insurance License.
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately
    • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment
