    We are seeking a detailed and self-motivated professional to join our Verona office as a Mortgage/Retail Closing Specialist!  This position is responsible for processing of all types of mortgage loan files according to regulatory, secondary market and in-house guidelines/requirements meeting specific timeframes throughout the loan origination process.

    Responsibilities

    • Organize loan files ensuring documents are present and within the appropriate sections.
    • Order flood certifications and title commitments
    • Assist Mortgage Lender in obtaining documentation from customers
    • Obtain earnest money receipt, child support documentation, annuity verification, VOD, VOE, VOM and VOL’s, when necessary.
    • Review loan application documents for completeness and accuracy. Follow-up with loan officers when corrections are needed.
    • Prepare and distribute revised LE’s following our TRID procedures.
    • Prepare package for outside subordination approval based on the financial institutions list of requirements.
    • Analyze title reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, flood certifications and all the supporting documents updating systems accordingly.
    • Review loans for HMDA accuracy.

    Qualifications

     

    • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate and/or similar field of education and/or 2-5 years previous work experience in a mortgage processing function
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of customers and associates
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, good typing skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software
    • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions
    • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast-paced/deadline driven environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands in order to meet deadlines while remaining calm under pressure

    This position is a full time position with hours of 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday.
