    We are seeking an experienced manager to join our Verona Office as a VP Mortgage Lending Manager! This position will be responsible for the direction of the Bank’s Residential Mortgage Lending Program in order to contribute to the Bank’s overall growth and income strategies and goals.  The VP-Mortgage Lending Manager will ensure that a safe, sound and profitable mortgage loan portfolio is maintained while promoting quality mortgage loan customer service and related activities, including, but not limited to, the soliciting, origination, processing, and loan closing functions.  This position will directly oversee and manage all Mortgage Loan Officers.  This position will report to the SVP-Chief Lending Officer.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and supervise all residential mortgage production activities of the mortgage banking team
    • Ensures that lending operations are in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations
    • Responsible as the manager of all Mortgage Loan Officers
    • Proactively manages the profitability and quality of the residential portfolio
    • Coordinates and oversees mortgage loan promotion activities, suggests appropriate marketing and business development activities. Participates in appropriate community activities to promote banking services.
    • Proactively researches and introduces prudent mortgage products and services to broaden and deepen relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Works with internal teams to ensure a smooth and delightful customer experience
    • Guides the lending team towards overall bank goals including referrals to other areas of the bank in order to meet the overall bank objective of full banking customer relationships
    • Works with the CLO, CFO and others to assist in establishing production and budgeted revenue goals for the department as well as cross sales goals for all Mortgage Loan Officers.
    • Member of Sr. Leader, ALCO, and CRA Committees
    • Works to reach the Bank’s CRA goals by working to ensure strong outreach within mortgage lending
    • Remains active in the community and community organizations to enhance bank image and identity.
    • *Requires National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field and/or 3 years in a similar role.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lending role
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role
    • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with diverse groups including staff, other bank personnel and customers.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training using positive supervisory techniques for maximum productivity.
    • Understanding of government regulations, legal requirements and secondary market rules involving lending and related functions
    • Results orientated sales ability with success in establishing and building customer relationships.
