    We are seeking an adaptable and team-oriented professional to join our Cross Plains Main office as a Commercial Credit Analyst! In this position you will serve as a Credit Analyst to the commercial loan area and will be responsible for spreading financial statements as required by SBCP loan policy.  In addition, this role will analyze and underwrite commercial credits and partner with Portfolio Managers (PM), Business Advantage Group Lenders (BAG) and Business Relationship Managers (BRM) in making credit decisions.

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately spread ‘raw’ business financial statements into financial spreading software as collected (includes tax returns, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, aging reports and projections)
    • Provide credit analysis and identify trends based on collected financials and spreads on an ongoing basis for existing customers to BRM and PM
    • Monitor and verify borrowing base certificates and other loan covenants. Report findings to BRM and PM
    • Underwrite and facilitate new and renewal credits where the aggregate debt is at or below $250k, and other less complex credits as assigned by Credit Underwriting Manager
    • Partner with Portfolio Manager acting as a liaison between BRM, Commercial Processing staff, Credit Risk Department and other internal staff members as necessary
    • Ensure proper documentation of loan file via post approval due diligence (ie. commitment letter, adverse action notice, appraisal request, closing instructions, etc.)

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar field of education and/or 3 years previous work experience in a lending environment
    • Solid understanding of financial statements including but not limited to tax returns, profit & loss statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other business financials
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately
    • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment
