    We are seeking a customer focused and detail oriented individual to join our loan operations team as a Loan Service Associate at our main office in Cross Plains!  This role will work with both internal and external customers providing high quality customer service regarding the servicing of various types of loans.  In this role, you will work to ensure quality and consistent servicing of all Mortgage, Consumer and Commercial loans from origination through final payoff and satisfaction.  Servicing can include, but is not limited to, escrow (disbursements, analysis, etc.), Secondary Market Investor (SMI) Reporting and Accounting, credit reporting, internal report reviews, loan booking, payment processing, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Promptly responding to customer inquiries and assist in problem solving customer issues/needs
    • Preparing monthly reconciliations and reporting for all secondary market investors and government entities, including monitoring and balancing all checking and general ledger accounts. Research and correct any discrepancies.
    • Working with outside vendors to ensure proper hazard and flood insurance policies are obtained. Working with compliance to ensure all flood regulations are followed for those loans in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA).
    • Monitoring and processing required Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) notices.
    • Monitoring and reviewing loans with Private Mortgage Insurance to ensure compliance.
    • Onboarding loans directly to the Navigator system. Performing secondary verification that all data was entered correctly.
    • Monitoring, reviewing and updating the bank’s credit reporting policies and procedures. Researching and responding to internal and external credit bureau disputes.
    • Processing all aspects of the escrow function
    • Reviewing and processing daily loan service reports, and making corrections/adjustments as necessary.
    • Various other duties and tasks as assigned or requested

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or similar field of education and/or 1-2 previous work experience in a financial institution setting.
    • Previous experience working in loan operations or lending environment, preferred
    • Previous experience with FISERV operating systems preferred
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (especially listening and verbal) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
    • Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations
    • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software
    • Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to ensure a successful operation, including but not limited to working additional hours, attending educational programs, etc.
